A Rainy Day in Castine

The oldest permanent settlement in New England, founded in 1613, full of historical markers, home of the Maine Maritime Academy and the United States oldest post office in continuous operation. The hundreds of starfish were really cool too!
Jason took this picture behind the light house. The warning was not heeded.

There were hundreds and hundreds of starfish on and around the pier. We are going to go back on a warmer day so we can get in the water and play with them a little bit. There were some that were 12 inches across and bright red and little tiny orange ones. All sizes and many colors! Koa was a little cold.

Yeah, the starfish pictures didn't really turn out that well but you can see a few.

The dock was really cool-totally encrusted with barnacles and sea moss (if there is such a thing)

Koa is the kind of little man that can get away with wearing his frog boots just about anywhere. He didn't get to wear them to church though when he asked.

Fun planter.

Crazy wet hair and pretty blue eyes.
