An Adventure on Bar Island

At low tide there is a bar of sand exposed so that a three hour trip to Bar Island and back is possible. What a great little hike!

Nothing like a game of "Duck, duck, goose" on the beach. They started it themselves-pretty sure our boys were the instigators.

So young, so famous. Today's youth grow up too fast. One minute they are little boys, the next thing you know they are driving firetrucks and famous in the newspaper.

Pinewood Derby! March 13, 2013

The race is on!  We inherited a really old school wooden track.  A few screws and a little wood shaving and we were in business.

We had Dutch Baby pancakes with fire on top!

 The girls eat them proper, with yogurt on top.  The blueberry syrup is a Maine addition.

8 Year Old Boys! March 3, 2013

Yes, they used the sleep on the floor in Mommy and Daddy's room card for their birthday.  It is always fun to see them as soon as they wake up on their birthday though...

 They opened birthday cards and presents in bed.

We love them and we are so glad they came to stay 8 short years ago!
