The Month Long Birthday

The boys got their birthday stretched out over a whole
month. We just kept celebrating. They started the morning
out early with some birthday "wapples" and we kept the party going throughout the day.

Daddy made a Coke and Mentos volcano that went really high!

We had sooo much fun flying kites. The boys never dropped their string or lost their kites they were real pros. Kai flying his kite above our house.
Koa working the string.

Koa got really good at getting his kite up in the air. He was very determined and ran until he actually got it up and flying!

Kai-King of the Hill and of sticks.

The boys each got to decorate their own birthday cakes. Leading up to their birthday all they asked for was "cockit birday cake with pire on da top" (chocolate birthday cake with fire-you know candles- on the top. That was an easy enough request to fill.

Very happy with their work.

Loving the "happy birthday" song.

That night we finally burned our last Christmas tree and anything else we could find.

Kai regulating the fire and Koa
trying to poke a little more life into it.

A few weeks later the boys got presentsfrom the Pastos lovingly wrapped by Auntie Circle and Miss Bella. They got kites and bath colors and slinkies and fridge alphabets magnetsand even a pinata!

Leap frog letters and squishy lizards!

Super excited over the "blue dog pinta!"

Koa holding the broom for Kai-so cute.

Finally a almost a month after their birthday celebrations began we let them open their dump trucks and shovels. They were supposed to be for Christmas but they had enough presents at Christmas so we kept them for their birthday and didn't end up opening them until the end of the month.

We went to the park and played with the sand and called the birthday finished.
