It was a little chilly but the boys were outfitted for the adventure.
Rollin, rollin, rollin on a river.
It was smooth rowing all the way to the lake.
They found a spot next to the water and set up camp.
Brother shot.
In the morning there was magic mist rising from the lake.
Cooking breakfast around the camp fire.
Eating breakfast at "the hard rock cafe".
The kids went rowing in a canoe without any grown ups and felt sooo big.
Half of the Erickson Clan.
Half of the Millis Clan.
Half of the Barrett Clan.
Headed home.
All of the Barrett guys said it was one of the best camping trips ever and they were so happy they went even though it got down to 33 degrees, that's as good as freezing. The Barrett gals were happy to have been home in their warm comfy beds. The sweetest thing was when the boys asked to call home to have family prayer over the phone. Mommy said the prayer over the speaker phone and the boys cuddled up and went right to sleep. Daddy stayed up long enough to hear the howling coyotes. We're pretty sure this camping trip is going to happen again next year. Mommy and Lola are already planning on staying home again but Bo is campaigning to go...
