Summer Miracle

One day there was a loud crash. When we rushed out to see what had happened we were amazed to find that the tree in front of our house fell apart in a miraculous way. A large branch fell, hit another large branch on the way down, and they both missed our house and the neighbor's. Both houses should have been clobbered but all that happened was our flag got knocked down and a scratch on their porch.

So Jason and the neighbor decided to take care of the rest of the rotten limbs. They chained the branches to a truck and pulled them down. What a show!

Then there was a lot of wood to be cut and moved.

It turned out to be a day of neighborhood bonding.

Neighbors from both sides watching the show.

Controlled delimbing.

Bless her heart, Carrol knew we needed to be fed, and provided plentiful pasta for all on her back deck. So yummy and so nice to have an impromptu neighborhood meal.Align Center

Kim also added to the yumminess by bringing a blueberry cobbler. We all LOVED it!
