The Great Elm Street Fire

So the day after Halloween we decided to have a big burn in our back yard to clean it up a little for the winter...Jason decided to throw on some leaves. It was at this point (when the smoke was rising 75 feet in the air) that we remembered that a burn permit might be in order.

What the heck why not throw on some more....

Everyone helped as they thought appropriate.

Hey, 20 leaves are better than no leaves.

The fire department was kind enough to show up and issue us a much needed burn permit.
It was then that we decided to really make good use of the fire and we brought out the smores.

The boys love their Ghostbusters costumes and wore them for a week before and a week after Halloween. They still gear up a couple of times a week to hunt ghosts around the house.
